We have started work on our first demonstrator: a small VTOL tailsitter with a 3D-printed airframe and a PX4 flight stack.
It is not a product and it is not for sale. It is a testbed for the method we want to apply to client projects: start from the requirements, size the configuration, verify in simulation, then fly it step by step.
What we want to learn
- Hover/cruise transition — the trickiest part of a tailsitter: we want to characterise it properly, with data, not by feel.
- 3D-printed airframe — how far we can push printed parts for a light, repairable structure, and where we need something else.
- The test path — building the test and documentation templates we will then reuse on real projects.
